Terms and Conditions for Nordic Nook Ski & Snowboard Rentals

Welcome to Nordic Nook Ski & Snowboard Rentals! By renting equipment from us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully as they govern your use of our services and the rental of our equipment.

1. Rental Agreement

By renting equipment from Nordic Nook Ski & Snowboard Rentals, you (the “Renter”) agree to the following:

  • All rental equipment remains the property of Nordic Nook Ski & Snowboard Rentals.

  • The equipment is to be used only for its intended purpose and must be returned in the same condition, aside from normal wear and tear.

  • The Renter assumes full responsibility for the care, maintenance, and safe use of all rented equipment during the rental period.

2. Rental Period

  • The rental period begins at the time the equipment is picked up and ends at the agreed-upon return time.

  • Late returns will incur additional fees based on our daily rental rates. If you anticipate a delay in returning the equipment, please contact us as soon as possible.

3. Reservations and Cancellations

  • A reservation is required to guarantee equipment availability. Reservations can be made online, over the phone, or in-store.

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the rental start date will be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the rental start date may not be eligible for a refund.

  • Nordic Nook reserves the right to cancel a reservation due to unforeseen circumstances, such as extreme weather conditions or equipment availability issues. In such cases, we will issue a full refund or offer alternative arrangements.

4. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of pick-up, unless otherwise arranged.

  • We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and other forms of payment as indicated in-store or on our website.

  • A security deposit may be required for certain rentals, which will be refunded upon the return of equipment in good condition.

5. Use of Equipment and Liability

  • The Renter agrees to use the equipment in a safe and responsible manner and follow all safety instructions provided by Nordic Nook.

  • The Renter acknowledges that skiing and snowboarding are inherently risky activities, and the use of the equipment carries the risk of injury or damage. The Renter assumes all risks associated with the use of the rented equipment.

  • Nordic Nook is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from the use of the rented equipment, including accidents or misuse of the equipment.

6. Damage, Loss, or Theft

  • The Renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the equipment during the rental period.

  • In the event of damage beyond normal wear and tear, loss, or theft, the Renter agrees to pay for the repair or replacement of the equipment at its full retail value.

  • If the equipment is stolen, the Renter must file a police report and provide a copy to Nordic Nook.

7. Equipment Exchange

  • If the rented equipment does not fit properly or is found to be defective, Nordic Nook will provide an exchange for different equipment, subject to availability.

  • Exchanges may also be made for different sizes or models during the rental period, depending on availability.

8. Safety and Responsibility

  • The Renter is responsible for ensuring that all rented equipment is properly fitted and adjusted before use. If assistance is needed, our staff is available to provide guidance.

  • Helmets and other safety gear are highly recommended, especially for children, and are available for rent.

9. Personal Information

  • Any personal information collected during the rental process is subject to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we protect and use your data.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nordic Nook Ski & Snowboard Rentals is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from the use of our equipment or services.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Washington. Any disputes or claims arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with the laws of Washington State.

12. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Nordic Nook reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
